QUANG DUC MONASTERY - AUSTRALIA

The Quang Duc Monastery was established in 1990 in a small three-roomed house at 30 Bamburg St, Broadmeadows, City of Moreland , Melbourne (Australia) as a Vietnamese Buddhist centre of worship, religious education and other Buddhist activities. The new temple was built in September 2000 on an area of nearly 8000 square metres, including a Meditation Hall and Community Centre. It is designed to fit in with the Australian environment, to meet the needs of the local Buddhist community and to also display Vietnamese Buddhist culture.
