GOUNSA - KOREA


Gounsa located in Uiseong-gun was built by Uisangjosa in the 1st year of King Sinmun's reign in the Shilla Period. It is the oldest temple in Uiseong-gun. It was originally called Gounsa which means high cloud, but 200 years later, it was renamed Gounsa (meaning lonely cloud) after Choe Chiwon's pen name.
