ANGULIMALA STUPA - INDIA

Situated in Gonda district in eastern Utter Pradesh, Sravasti is the small village of Sahetha-Mahetha, about 150 km northwest of Kushnagar . Sravasti (ancient Savatthi), the capital of the ancient kingdom of Kosala, has the honour for sheltering Buddha for 24 rainy seasons in the Jetvana Gardens. The Lord taught meditation on the full awareness of breathing and converted the dreaded murderer, Angulimala. And here, the Stupa to Angulimala was built.
