WAT PRATHAT DOI SUTHEP - THAILAND

Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep has a very large number of Temple bells ("rakhang" in Thai). Construction began 1386 and was completed within a few years. High in the hills above Chiang Mai is the temple. Visitors must walk up 300 steps, flanked on both sides by an elongated, wavy, snake-like body of a seven-headed naga and beds of frangipanis and cassias
