TRĂM GIAN PAGODA - VIỆT NAM


Trăm Gian (100 rooms) Pagoda, also called Tiên Lữ Pagoda, or Quảng Nghiêm Pagoda is situated in Tiên Lữ village, Hà Tây province. The pagoda was built during the Lư dynasty and has been repaired many times . It is in fact a very imposing pagoda with its 104 rooms and its gate with 8 roofs. There are 104 statues made of wood, a rectangular terra cotta block at the centre. There is also the two-story bell tower that was built in 1693, containing a 1.42 metres wide bronze gong produced in 1749. A statue of Tuyết Sơn made of a special type of wood is also found in the pagoda.
