PORT OF LOS ANGELES - UNITED STATES


The Port of Los Angeles is one of the world's largest, busiest and most successful seaports. Located in San Pedro Bay, about 20 miles (30km) south of downtown Los Angeles, the Port complex occupies 7500 acres (30km2) of land and water along 43 miles (69km) of waterfront. Comprising 590 acres, Pier 400 will be home to the world's largest proprietary container terminal. Maersk Sealand, the world's largest shipping line, will operate the 484-acre terminal.
