TOWER OF LONDON - ENGLAND




The Tower of London is one of the oldest buildings in London .The construction was initiated by William the Conqueror in 1070. It was finished 20 years later, rising nearly 100 feet high, with its walls 15 feet thick in certain places. The last king to live in the Tower was James I in the 17th century. The Tower was protected by a wide ditch, a new stone wall, the old Roman wall,and the river.
